Lost and (hopefully) Found

It is so very easy to lose your way. The world, and the people in it, can be so loud. Before you know it, you can't even hear yourself think. Amy Tan addressed the loss of oneself with the following words, "I did not lose myself all at once. I rubbed out my face over the years, washing away my pain, the same way carvings on stone are worn down by water."

Sometimes in life, we are slowly , painfully erased. We are lost in our own busy schedules, always doing but never reflecting, making countess decisions every day with no real thought as to how or why...If we are lucky, if we take the time to meditate, to write down our dreams, and to unite our minds and our bodies with yoga(or other mindful physical activity) , we catch ourselves before it is too late. If we are not so lucky, we can go through our entire lives in a trance...many of us waking up when its far too late, wishing we could go back and do it all over again....

In a world and a culture that seems to scream at us from every screen, and every angle, seemingly for 24 hours a day, my prayer is that we all experience an Awakening. That we see ourselves, our fellow human beings, and our heart-breakingly beautiful world for what they really are. I pray that we each stop long enough to listen to our inner voice-a voice that is often times a whisper. It is impossible to hear that whisper through the blaring of the Nightly News or the appeal of Facebook feeds.

Our Tranquil Lake monthly theme for April is Awakening -Awakening Our Energy, Our Physical Bodies, Our Spirits, and Awakening to the Beauty of the World Around Us.

Awakening to the knowledge that we don't need to rely on the external to tell us how we are supposed to live and feel. I have been guilty of this in the past few months. I wanted so badly for my business to succeed, that I forgot what I opened the studio for in the first place. Only 3 months in, and I have already had to course correct.

But, thankfully, it's never too late. I am awake, my eyes are open, and I am here to help guide people towards a life of Health & Happiness in the place they call Home. I am launching my Health Coaching Business (from the comfort of my own home), creating signature Memberships for the Yoga Studio, and putting careful thought into the long term accessibility of Tranquil Lake's fitness classes, private sessions, and health coaching. Be sure to check the website for sustainable pricing changes, Signature Membership Packages, new classes (Tai Chi Begins in April), Health & Happiness Tips right here in Vermilion, and so much more !

I hope that if you find yourself in a similar trance, wondering how you got to the place you're in (we rarely Wander into a good place when we aren't being intentional, we usually land in a very uncomfortable spot), that you take the time and energy to find your way back to truth.

Making that journey can be painful and confusing, but once the veil is lifted, it is so freeing. I am with you every step of the way, taking this journey alongside you ....ready to enjoy a life of Health & Happiness in our Hometown of Vermilion, Ohio.

Let's spend the month of April awakening as a community !
