Tonya Bongalis

RYT 500, Reiki Master, Self Healing Facilitator

As an experienced yoga teacher, Tonya is a kind and energetic soul. Her passions in yoga are Yin and Meditation, although she enjoys teaching many forms of yoga. Tonya also practices Reiki and Sound Healing, and is a beautiful addition to the Tranquil Lake Team.

Danielle Lowery

RYT 200, RN , BS

My yoga journey began in 2012 after having my second child. I was desperate for a space to really commit to a practice of self care. After my first vinyasa class I was hooked. Not only do I love the way yoga makes my physical body feel, the practice nourishes my soul. As a Registered Nurse, I have a strong passion for health and wellness, so practicing yoga has been a natural byproduct of my desire for people to live whole, healthy lives. I completed my 200 hr yoga certification through Unwind Yoga Studio in February 2019 to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge. I’m  committed to sharing a practice with others that brings them a deeper sense of self through breath awareness and safe body alignment in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. When I’m not on my yoga mat you can find me in my role as wife and stay at home mom three awesome kids!

I found yoga in 2006 when I was experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety in my life. A friend recommended yoga to me. At the time I was seeking something that would help relieve my anxiety and also move my body physically. I didn’t realize at the time how much yoga would impact my life. As I practiced and learned more about the yoga philosophies, I fell in love and felt like I had found something that connected deeply to my soul and also helped my physical body. I had never experienced something that brought awareness to more than the physical body and I felt I had finally found something that relieved the anxiety and the effects of stress in my body. I decided I wanted to dive deeper and learn more. I earned my 200 hour certification in 2013 from Namaste Yoga. Since then I have had the opportunity to teach various classes and deepen my practice as well. Yoga has been a pathway for me to understand myself more and manage the stress in my life in a healthy way.  I am so grateful that I have an opportunity to share this healing, soulful practice with others. 

I have a wonderful husband and I am mom to a rescue dog named Bowie. When school is in session life is full and can get overwhelming and I am grateful for my mat to help me find balance. I believe it is so important to take time for yourself and enjoy your passions in life, although sometimes I need this advice most myself. In a world that is busy and demanding, yoga has allowed me to live a more present, peaceful, and thoughtful life.

Rick Bodeker is a 200 RYT and also a Pharmacist. Rick lives in Vermilion, Ohio, where he enjoys the Lake, the local parks, coaching sports and traveling. Rick's passion is to guide others through self awareness, allowing each student to be who they truly are. Holly Walker

Belly Dancing Instructor, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor

Holly has been belly dancing since she was 16, almost 14 years. She fell in love with the natural and feminine movements, the music, and the confidence she gained through learning the art of belly dance. Holly also has several years of experience as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor, teaching cardio, HIIT, and boot camp style classes. She has a passion for sharing her dance and fitness knowledge with other women and helping them find their own confidence and strength.

Tai Chi Instructor

Tai Chi is fun, can be easy to learn and can improve your balance and flexibility at any age.  No previous Tai Chi experience is needed.
Mary Cordray is certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach a modified Sun style of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention as well as Seated Tai Chi.  She loves sharing the simple, safe and effective program, which was created by Dr. Paul Lam together with other medical and Tai Chi experts.   Her students have commented that especially during the pandemic Tai Chi classes have helped them become centered and have mental quietness.  It is a tool to use in daily life and can be practiced in nature or sitting at your desk.  Also, Mary practices QiGong for Health and Shibashi Qigong. 
Mary is from Ohio but for many years lived in New York City as well as Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, California and Haiti. She and her husband enjoy taking day trips to visit various sites in Ohio or walking in local parks.   Also, Mary is a member of The Herb Guild and volunteers at Friendship APL to provide foster care for animals with medical or special needs.


Megan Lake-Smith

RYT 200, Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Certified Health Coach, RN

As the owner of Tranquil Lake Yoga & Wellness, Megan Lake-Smith aims to provide  a peaceful, welcoming environment in her studio, inviting people from all walks of life . Megan loves to create inclusive wellness experiences for her clients, urging them to come as they are . While Megan plans to explore and teach in many areas of yoga and fitness , she hopes to specialize in prenatal, post partum, and women's health yoga practices.
Megan completed her 200 hr yoga teacher training the the Yoga & Ayurveda Center in Bangor, PA.

Heidi Boone 

RYT 200 , Certfied Kidding Around Yoga Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher


Heidi Boone is a Kindergarten teacher at Vermilion Local Schools, along with being an RYT200, and holding a certification for Kidding Around Children's Yoga. 

Heidi is a wife and mother of three, and loves  to utilize yoga to bring mindfulness to the children in Vermilion.

Heidi has taught at Ritter Public Library and throughout the Vermilion schools and community in past years. Kidding Around Yoga has empowered Heidi to use creative instruction in meditation, mindfulness, breathing practices, relaxation, poses, games & activities, and lots of stress management for kids.
